The federal Environmental Protection Agency and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers have proposed new regulations that would greatly expand the regulatory jurisdiction over waters throughout the United States as part of the “Clean Water Act.” For the past several months, the Georgia Chamber’s Energy and Natural Resources Policy Committee has been studying the proposals and talking with key stakeholders to develop a response that has been submitted as part of the federal rulemaking process.
